Navigating Parenthood Together

Hey everyone, I've got a story to share, and I'm hoping to get your thoughts on it. So, there's this guy, let's call him Alex. We had this amazing love story going on – the kind that makes you believe in happily ever after.

Everything was cool until we decided to have a kid. Suddenly, things took a turn. Alex, who used to be super present and involved, started traveling a lot for work. Late nights at the office turned into business trips, and quality time at home became pretty rare.

He was still a good provider, but he became more like a distant uncle than the hands-on dad I knew. Trying to talk about it didn't help much. He'd promise things would change, but it always went back to the same routine.

As I tried to handle parenting on my own, it felt like our relationship was slipping away. The guy who was my rock seemed to be on a different wavelength. It got me wondering if our fairy tale was turning into a struggle, replaced by the reality of distance and responsibilities.

Now, I'm at a crossroads. Can we find our way back to what we had, or is it time to face this new chapter separately? If anyone's been through something similar, I could really use some advice as I figure this all out. Thanks for listening, y'all.
